La Canada Flintridge’s 21,600 residents are attracted to this community because of its excellent schools, prime location and ideal climate. The city is situated in the Crescenta Valley and far western end of the San Gabriel Valley. It is nestled between the San Gabriel Mountains and Angeles National Forest on the North, and in the San Rafael Hills on the south.
La Canada’s Unified School District is a high achieving K-12 district. Students at all levels consistently score among the top 10% of all California students. About 98% of high school students enroll in post-secondary schools and over 8-% of all seniors take the SAT, in which they score and achieve significantly above state and national averages. LCUSD received an Academic Performance Index score of 950, the second highest in the state for K-12 school district.
