An affluent community, famous for Huntington Library, Art Collections & Botanical Gardens. Population of 12,945. Schools rankings are among the highest in the state. It is not a showy town, as lawns are putting-green quality, and everything appears presentable, though not overwhelming. Most homes fall into the category of upscale professional, with its share of mansions.

South of Huntington, the homes run to custom tract. North of Huntington, many homes step up in size and quality. No apartment buildings & no industries.

Served by San Marino Unified School District, scores in the top 5 percent, there is much attention paid to schools & education. All schools have recently undergone remodel & renovation. The high school ranks second highest in state SAT scores. San Marino has its own police, fire & paramedic departments. It offers a large private park, Lacy Park and is located about 10 miles to downtown LA.
