Pasadena
Dynamic, cosmopolitan city in foothills of San Gabriel Mountains, located about 10 miles to downtown LA with 2 freeways. Housing is a mix of plain, middle-plus and gorgeous. Pasadena houses part of JPL and the California Institute of Technology. A thriving downtown speckled with high rises, first-class museums and hotels, a top-notch playhouse.
Pasadena has it all. It has the Rose Bowl, a historic district, an entertaining night life along Colorado Boulevard, and some of the prettiest neighborhoods in the county. Mansions can be found on the south and west side, and upscale middle housing is located around the Rose Bowl. About 30% of the housing predates World War II, another 45% were erected between 1940 & 1970.
